Available first quarter 2012, bringing major enhancements to StoryTeller
Dapresy Pro 7 is about to be rolled out to customers in the first quarter of 2012. As it could well transform how you deliver your research findings to your clients, we wanted to give you an exclusive preview of what’s coming.
Dapresy Pro version 7.0 will shortly introduce our most feature-rich set of enhancements to Dapresy Pro’s StoryTeller module yet: New ways to blend data from different sources for more vivid comparisons, more powerful and convenient ways create reports specific to different parts of the business, through the new ‘hierarchical filtering’ we are adding and more. The improvements are all aimed at making dashboards much more of a one-stop-shop for brand managers and strategists, providing all they need for better decision-making.

Torbjörn Andersson, Dapresy’s CEO, says: “Our aim, with Storyteller, is to make dashboards as relevant and natural a way to communicate findings from single point-in-time research studies as they are for the large-scale tracking projects. Version 7.0 really makes this possible. We are closing the gap between what is feasible in a dashboard environment and in a fully-featured cross-tab tool. The choice should be down to the dashboard designer, we feel, and not restricted by the tool you are using. ”
Version 7.0 brings to dashboards the hierarchical or multi-level reporting structures that often arise in large organisations, and are typical when reporting customer research data, for example. This new support will allow you to create a unique dashboard for the reporting unit and compares to key results in other parts of the organisation.
Another addition is greater freedom of choice in which charts and even which data series you present next to each other on the dashboard – to allow for easier comparisons with reference or benchmark data, or to track brand recognition or loyalty against ad spend or other non-research measures.
New design options also provide more facilities to create branded dashboards that match your corporate look or that of your clients.
“Just as we bring StoryTeller even closer to the power and flexibility you get from using Dapresy Pro, we are also continuing to strengthen what we offer in Dapresy Pro, as a complete reporting solution for anyone working with, and reporting on market research data,” explains Torbjörn Andersson.
A quick overview of what’s coming in Dapresy Pro 7
- Creating an all-in-one dashboard or ‘balanced scorecard’ that merges results from customer satisfaction, employee research, brand measurement, mystery shopping and economic data in the same dashboard view.
- Hierarchical filtering to facilitate for researchers to create hundreds, even thousands of individualised dashboards for end-users that are informative, appealing, easy to follow, and engender trust and confidence in those using them.
- Support of multiple series, creating new opportunities for making comparisons extremely visual and highly relevant, for example between different periods or in benchmarking one company’s performance against another.
- Top charts as a new chart ranking or sorting technique that allows you to identify automatically the best or worst performing areas in any measurement activity, such as a c-sat tracker or mystery shopping programme.
- Tables created in the Dapresy Pro Table Tool can now very easily be added into the dashboard created in Storyteller.
- Graph Design in Storyteller offers total freedom over the visual presentation of any charts you create within StoryTeller
