TUESDAY TIPS BY THOMAS: Dynamic Icons
Create inspiring reports with Dynamic icons
Dapresy has a huge, built-in icon library, with over a thousand icons. In our increasingly visual world, icons are a powerful tool for relaying your message. They are used to both create inspiring and eye-catching reports, but also to guide the user to find the most relevant results easier.
The great thing about icons in Dapresy is that you can connect them to variables. Simply enable them to be dynamic, and they’ll change based on data. You can, for example, easily do the following:
- Partially fill in an icon based on results
- Change the color of an icon based on threshold values (e.g. Is the KPI above or below the target?)
- Show the growth or decline over time using arrows with different directions and colors (e.g. “5% ↓” could appear in red)
- Replace a happy face with a sad face or a thumbs up with a thumbs down based on the difference between two values
The image below gives you an overview of Dapresy’s icon library. Smart search functions based on market research terms are available so you could easily find the icons that best match the data you’re reporting.

Below we see an example of dynamic icons in a report. The rating results are visualized as partly filled in stars based on the score of each attribute.
